Amelia cranfield

founder and director

With over 13 years of recruitment experience, Amelia cut her teeth in the digital industry in London. She worked for some of the UK’s top media, publishing and communication talent agencies before specialising in recruiting for digital marketing, e-commerce and digital media roles.

In early 2014, Amelia co-founded a successful digital talent agency in London and led the team to great success, recruiting for some of the world’s leading brands and online businesses, agencies and trading desks, and publishers. She also made it a priority to develop an extensive, international network of Kiwi ex-pats working within the digital industry.

In mid-2017, Amelia sold her share of the business in order to return to New Zealand and to bring her digital recruitment skill-set home. After a few months travelling the world, Amelia came back to New Zealand and launched Campfire Digital Recruitment in 2018. She is now focused on building the Auckland-based business and delivering an exceptional recruitment experience to candidates and clients alike.

Tom Shaw

Recruitment Consultant

Hailing from Warwick, England, Tom started his recruitment career at a global agency and joined New Zealand’s sunny shores in 2019. With several years of recruitment experience under his belt, Tom has a passion for building great careers for candidates and excellent teams for clients. Known for going the extra mile, you’ll find Tom a dream to work with.

Tom can be found outside of work brushing up on his surfing skills, camping in the great outdoors, and sampling the local vineyards.

Lauren Warner

Candidate Manager

A true digital juggernaut, Lauren brings an extensive client-side background to the Campfire team. With over six years of digital marketing and digital content experience, she has a thorough understanding of the local advertising market, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing & Management.

Lauren has a superb network of candidates all around NZ, and is constantly on the lookout for the very best digital talent for our roles. Having such great experience in the industry means that Lauren can speak with candidates very authentically, and she is able to place candidates with a veteran’s eye.

In her downtime, you’ll find Lauren involved in all sorts of creative endeavours, whether it be photographing Auckland’s beautiful scenery or studying up on the latest fashion trends.

Coco-Chanel Young

Candidate Manager

Coco is an organisational whizz who handles our candidate care, ensuring that interviews are seamlessly set up and the best digital talent is found for our roles. Prior to joining Campfire, Coco developed fantastic experience in administration on the client side.

Outside of work, you’ll find Coco exploring Ponsonby cafes & restaurants, hitting the early morning gym classes, and heading out to music festivals for a taste of great Kiwi music.

Philippa Gates

Marketing & Administration

Originally from Nelson, Philippa looks after the marketing, administration, & office management functions of Campfire. She also carries out our market research, ensuring that we are abreast of what’s happening in the digital ecosystem both at home and abroad.

Philippa joined Campfire from the publisher side, where she got a firm grounding in the media business. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Auckland and has a passion for Japanese language and culture, gaming, historical novels, & extolling the virtues of the South Island
