This large, global organisation is looking to set the agenda for how not-for-profit organisations can use digital marketing as a fundraising tool. Their incredible support programmes change the lives of millions of people worldwide, and they care just as much about their staff as they do about the people they support. They have a close-knit culture, an excellent track record in growing careers, and a high level of kudos for their work. They also offer flexible working arrangements, with many staff working remotely for two days of the week.


They’ve experienced a considerable rise in demand for their services post-COVID. Therefore, they’re building a large, world-class digital marketing team to support fundraising and to make sure they have the revenue to deliver vital support programmes across NZ.


Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working within the digital team, as Digital Content Marketer – Retention, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a content strategy that effectively retains donors. This will see you study the donor lifecycle, map out key points on the donor journey, and determine which digital channels will best achieve your retention goals. Once you have this strategy in place, you’ll work with the wider digital team to develop these pieces and deploy them across digital channels (social, video, email, organic & paid search, website, blogs, etc.).


This organisation has a highly collaborative approach and is continuously evaluating its digital marketing approach, so you’ll have ample opportunity to influence how content is structured. This role is also well supported by other creative and marketing digital specialists, so it’s an excellent opportunity to try new content ideas.

about you

Demonstrated experience with developing retention strategies and delivering copy across a variety of digital mediums is critical. You will have a strong sense of what digital channels are best for different campaign purposes and goals. Experience in writing communications for charitable or retention purposes would be highly valued.


You will have a clear understanding of direct marketing and how to study content campaigns for their performance outcomes using industry tools. Knowledge of email platforms and graphic design would be welcome too.
