As a Paid Search Director, you’ll be the preeminent search specialist for this agency’s largest e-commerce account: a retailer with enormous brand recognition. Working with other digital channel leads, you'll craft search marketing strategy that's informed by the latest in search data trends. This role has a strong client-facing aspect, so you'll be confident in presenting complex concepts in straightforward and compelling language. You'll work with search marketing specialists to plan and deliver these campaigns. This role is very hands-on, as you'll be expected to jump into the tools to optimise campaigns and investigate performance. You’ll have one direct report. 


  • Manage paid search marketing campaigns for one large client. 
  • Craft search marketing strategy informed by data trends alongside other digital channel leads. 
  • Translate complex concepts into client-friendly language for presentations. 
  • Optimise campaigns using the tools and investigate performance. 
  • Line-manage one direct report.

about you

You’ll bring experience running search marketing campaigns on Search Ads 360 or Google Shopping. You’ll have experience using enterprise-level search implementation, ad-serving, and data analytics platforms for digital advertising. You’ll also have working knowledge using digital marketing platforms – the search media buying side of Google Marketing Platform would be ideal. As this role is client-facing and line-managing a direct report, you’ll be friendly, knowledgeable, and able to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. 


  • Experience with running search marketing campaigns on SA360 and/or Google Shopping. 
  • Experience using enterprise-level search implementation, ad-serving and data analytics platforms for digital advertising. 
  • Experience using digital marketing platforms (especially search media buying side of GMP). 
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with tech vendors, your direct report, and internal team members. 
  • You’ll think technically and analytically.
