Recognised globally as one of the greatest media brands in the advertising game, this agency consistently delivers the best in digital. Their client base includes prominent Kiwi household names, and they have been responsible for numerous award-winning campaigns. They also boast a seriously impressive tech stack, as their international backing means they can invest in the best marketing technologies and the latest in digital innovation. Culture and trust are key to this agency, so all staff can work two days at home a week, half days in the summertime, enjoy regular industry training opportunities, and get plenty of support in growing their media careers. Due to expansion, this agency is now ready to make several appointments across seniority levels in their performance teams.

As the Paid Social Media Lead, you’ll be the foremost expert on how leverage social media to drive performance marketing goals. Your client base will be from a wide variety of verticals, so there’ll be a great mixture of strategies to play with here. This role is a mixture of creating strategy, campaign work, managing client relationships, and mentoring social specialists.

In terms of campaign implementation, you’ll work alongside a team of social juniors to set up and deploy social campaigns for a variety of clients. This role also has a large analytics component, and you’ll need to proactively identify optimisation opportunities (e.g., lowering CPMs). This means you’ll be confident troubleshooting campaigns, know how to dig into social platforms, and not be afraid of studying raw data.

On the relationship end, you’ll work alongside the client services team to pitch strategy to clients and educate them on potential social options. These clients have high budgets and matching expectations, so this is a great chance to challenge yourself.

Finally, you’ll tie this all together with your solid analytical ability and desire to upskill junior team members.

  • Experience in paid social media campaigns and digital advertising, ideally from an agency
  • Expert knowledge of the Facebook suite (e.g., Pixel, Blueprint, Business Ads, Instagram)
  • Solid data analytics and troubleshooting ability
  • Ideally, team leadership experience or mentorship experience
  • Compelling presentation skills
