This role looks to the future with this agency rethinking how they do programmatic and breaking down their silos. Ever the trendsetters, they want you to take programmatic to the heart of the planning process, working closely with the Digital Planner and the Client Lead. You’ll give your input and influence the wider media plan. You’ll be looped into conversations around creative assets and the positioning of dynamic creative. Connecting with the client, this is an excellent chance to build your soft skills and diversify your experience. You’ll line manage one direct report. 


  • Execute customer journey plans across all forms of programmatic channels. 
  • Create implementation plans from briefs and media schedules for the programmatic team to activate. 
  • Lead programmatic media buying and negotiation, including cost/value and quality objectives. 
  • Build relationships with clients + collaborate with the Digital Planner to develop market-leading digital plans. 
  • Line-manage one direct report. 



  • Take a leading role in reshaping what programmatic looks like in NZ.

about you

You’ll have experience using enterprise-level demand side, ad-serving, and data analytics platform for digital advertising as well as marketing in general – particularly DV360 and the wider Google Marketing Platform. You’ll be confident enough to constructively challenge and build on the work done by the digital planners. You’ll have good interpersonal and communication skills. 


  • Experience with programmatic tools and marketing platforms like DV360 and the GMP. 
  • Strong technical and analytic skills. 
  • Able to confidently share your opinion and constructively challenge planners. 
  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with clients, client leads and the wider team.
