One of NZ’s leading publishers is looking for a new Web Manager to oversee a growing portfolio of sites.

Company

Our client is one of NZ’s leading media owners. They publish content across a range of formats including print, social media, websites and video. Within their repertoire are a huge variety of titles, covering fashion, lifestyle, business, food, and culture, each of which has its own dedicated website on Wordpress (mainly) or Silverstripe.

Offering a friendly company culture full of digital, editorial and publishing sales experts, this company can offer ample opportunities to grow within their business. They pride themselves on their inclusive atmosphere and regular social events for all staff. Located in buzzing, modern offices, you’ll enjoy all the perks of central Auckland life with ample transport and entertainment close by.

role

As the Web Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for the different websites that complement this publisher’s counterpart print titles. You will work to maintain and manage the different websites’ functions and add new features as needed. This means you’ll troubleshoot any errors that come up, work with the wider digital team on new features (e.g. eCommerce options) and ensure ad servers are up and running on all sites.

This role has the potential to expand into running email marketing and Google AdWords campaigns in time, as well.

This publisher has been expanding its digital presence rapidly within the last year and is focused on monetising their digital audience, so there’s an excellent chance here to grow within the business and expand your role.

about you

Proven experience in web administration, maintenance or management is essential for this role. Ideally, you’d be well-versed in Wordpress and will be accustomed to overseeing elements of ad serving and eCommerce integration.

As this role deals with a wide variety of content and site formats, you’ll have an excellent eye for troubleshooting and proactively updating important features. This role could grow with greater digital marketing responsibilities over time, so a desire to learn about digital channels & advertising is welcomed.

  • Proven WordPress experience is beneficial
  • Confident technical troubleshooting ability
  • Proactive communication with internal stakeholders
  • Desire to learn about digital marketing further
  • Team player attitude that collaborates effectively
