As a ​Communications Specialist​, you’ll ​report to a fantastic line manager, and become a core member of the Marketing and Communications department. You’ll develop & and deliver internal and external communications strategies, including media relations, crisis comms, intranet news stories, business-wide memos and announcements, videos and campaigns, and internal events and awards.   • Develop fit-for-purpose, engaging and innovative communications strategies and plans. 
  • Create & deliver the Crisis Communications Strategy. 
  • Manage media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers. 
  • Take the lead on internal communications plans and initiatives, including intranet news stories; business-wide memos and announcements; videos and campaigns; internal events and awards. 
  • Run external communications plans and initiatives, including recruitment campaigns; media announcements; blogs and vlogs; member correspondence and newsletters; case studies; sales collateral; brochureware; presentations; trade shows and events.

about you

We’re looking for an experienced communications specialist for this role. You might be in PR, an ex-journalist, or an in-house comms specialist. In any case, you’ll bring strong copywriting skills to the table and will be able to work with varied internal stakeholders at different levels of seniority. 

 

  • Experience preparing and delivering communication plans and activities with proven results. 
  • Ability to tell a story through exceptional written and verbal communication. 
  • Skilled in adapting communications materials for diverse and varying audiences across digital and traditional channels. 
  • Strong copywriting abilities.  
  • Media relations experience.
