As a SEO Content Strategist, you’ll develop content strategy that drives great organic growth and hits acquisition goals. This means you’ll work with the Head of Marketing to understand the greater marketing strategy, then transform this into content plans and identify SEO opportunities.

 

From here, you’ll have a team of in-house copywriters to direct work to and you’ll use your keen eye for content to ensure their success. Once content & campaigns are underway, you’ll work with technical SEO specialists to monitor and report on results. This marketing team loves to see fresh ideas, so you’ll be free to pitch new initiatives and follow up on opportunities you spot in the market.

about you

Key to this role is strong experience in developing web content and how SEO techniques can be paired to achieve organic traffic. This publisher is welcome to a variety of backgrounds, so your experience could be from a marketing agency, another publisher, or an in-house team. As this role is focused on planning and strategy, you should be confident in effectively briefing copywriters and project managing their work.

 

  • Background in hands-on SEO content creation and strategy planning
  • Comprehensive writing and editorial skills
  • Experience with SEO tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to help inform SEO strategy
  • Excellent project management and teamwork abilities
  • Interest in current organic search trends, technology changes, and the like
  • Confident communication skills, both oral and written
